With Pude ver un puma (2011), J’ai oublié! (2014) and Parsi (2019), Filmmmmmmmmmm is presenting three short films by Eduardo ‚Teddy‘ Williams at Kunsthalle Mainz. The screening coincides with the current exhibition "Freund*innenschaft — Friendship" and aims to expand its engagement with friendship as an essential part of our social order. The three films were produced in intensive collaboration with different groups of friends.

How can word and image redefine the limits of film form? OnFilm, in collaboration with the Visual Studies Workshop, invites you to this showcasing of works by Toshio Matsumoto and Takashi Ito. This selection of nine films presents a comprehensive – but by no means exhaustive – series of formal meditations on the material and psychic boundaries of the moving image.

Stephanie Barber is a writer and filmmaker creating poetic, conceptual and philosophical work––literary/visual hybrids that play at the boundaries of narrative, essay and dialectic.

Barber’s art contemplates philosophical questions of human and non-human existence (its morbidity, profundity and banality) with humor, pathos and imagination.
