Nitrate Film is a series of screenings selected by the film programmer Kit Ramsay, accompanied by discussions led by friends of Verdurin. The events animate live, public critique, bringing attention to filmic artefacts deserving perdurance.
The symposium will bring reflections by Helen Rollins, Tony D. Sampson, and John-Robin Bold, alongside screenings of media works by Chris Boyd, Eva and Franco Mattes, George Barber, Milo Creese, Thomson & Craighead, NobodyTM, Neue Deutsche Kunst, and others.
It does not help to know whether the images are true or false. From now on and forever we will be uncertain about these images. Only their impact counts.
