F-VaCe was born thanks to the support and work of former students of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Salamanca, as a way to take advantage of and disseminate the degree works, and to exhibit our artistic research to the public.

F-Vace is a platform dedicated to video art and experimental cinema, which studies and projects innovative artistic-conceptual proposals. We focus on addressing the transformations of the audiovisual medium, especially those that move away from commercial cinema. Therefore, we invite creators and authors of all kinds to present their works in the first edition of F-VaCe. We will accept proposals on any subject, as long as they have a conceptual-experimental character.

For us, it is important to build bridges towards art even if it does not represent the most commercial cultural alternative. We also consider it essential to understand the stigmas or conditions that surround the audiovisual medium and its impact on the conception of classical narrative. We seek to consolidate video art as a legitimate genre within the medium.

In its first edition, the festival will consist of a single activity: the live screening of a unique costume, composed of a selection of videos compiled by our curatorial team and presented to an audience.

There will be a professional jury composed of the festival director, Miguel Blázquez Martín; Francisco Javier Panera Cuevas, Professor at the University of Salamanca; and three additional members appointed by the University.

The curatorial team will evaluate the works based on their originality and experimental nature. Particularly valued will be given to those pieces that explore new narrative and visual forms.

The selected works will be screened in October 2025 at the Juan del Enzina Theatre (University of Salamanca) —C. Tostado, 8, 37008 Salamanca—. We have the support of the Cultural Activities Service of the University of Salamanca, which gives greater visibility and prestige to this project.

The call will be open until April 19, although this date could be extended according to the organization's criteria.

Registration is completely free and open to creators from anywhere in the world. Works must be submitted through our space on the FilmFreeway platform.
