  • The City Let Me Bring Trash Into The Park And Call It Art. How Is This World So Good?

    The Downtown Providence Parks Network (DPNN) is presenting Rhode Island artists as a part of their winter lights Lumina Festival this February and has chosen to allow Tiffiniy Yingus Cheng's appliances to be brought into the park for a centrally located installation. The installation, I Just Work Here, features Ravage, a 55 minute video about the dead end nature of customer service calls, playing through the windows of a discarded washer, dryer, and stove.

    The latest edition of Platform 101, Vol.05: Hidden Geometry & Glitch Art, will be hosted in the Mirror Box and Rhizom section of Rischee 29 Art Gallery in Tehran. Running from January 17 to April 17, 2025, this exhibition will showcase the works of 21 exceptional video artists from around the world, with a rotating selection of artists every two weeks, creating a dynamic exploration of glitch and fractal aesthetics.

    Platform 101 has made a significant mark in Iran's digital art scene with the launch of its latest exhibition, Vol. 04: "Geometry of Creation: Analysis of Anti-Rhythmic Structures," held at E1 Art Gallery. This groundbreaking event showcases the work of 44 artists—23 from Iran and 21 from around the globe, representing 12 different countries. The exhibition is curated by Mohammad Ali Famori, founder of Platform 101, and Ramin Saeidian, a prominent art researcher.
