  • A Synesthete's Atlas: Cartographic Improvisations between Eric Theise & Ed Osborn

    By on

Real-time cartographic improvisations using projected, manipulated digital maps by Eric Theise, in collaboration with Ed Osborn’s real-time wrangling of live electronics and saturated field recordings. A visual wash of street grids, land masses, water bodies, and curiosities from built and natural environments. Resonant openings and switchbacks. Orphaned labels. Free-floating symbology. Difference tones and untethered drones. Saturated colors and the subtlest of tints. Jittery zooms, pans, and traversals. Noisy apertures and sonic fissures.

STST Film Club x Dream Sequence #4 | Memory in Motion

This programme presents experimental short films that probe the subject of memory. How can film itself act as both witness and interpreter of what we recall? And how might the fragile materials and technologies of cinema mirror the fragility of memory itself?

Taken together, these films invite us to reflect on how memory is formed, lost, and reshaped, both on screen and in our own lives.
