  • Paige Taul: I am

    By on

Microscope is very pleased to present a solo screening of films by Chicago-based filmmaker Paige Taul, with the artist in attendance. The event will take place both in person at the gallery and online, with a Q&A following the screening.

Taul's videos and their visual universe and language — as well as the balance of original and appropriated footage, analog film and video — are built upon what seem to be impromptu conversations between the artist and family members, which often constitute the entirety of the soundtrack of each work.

    Venue:

Microscope Gallery - New York, United States
  • Stefanie Weberhofer: Super 8 Film Program

    By on

Stefanie Weberhofer has visually contemplated the Alpine region around Dachstein with her Super 8 camera since 2022. She has transformed panoramas of landscapes and close-up details as well as footage of popular and elite sports, structural interventions in nature, and signs of human-driven climate change into filmic experiments, impressively exploiting the artistic potential of analog Super 8 film. As she films, her subjects are rhythmized, multiplied, and captured with long-exposures or time-lapses.

    Dates:

    Friday, March 21, 2025 - 20:30

    Venue:

Austrian Film Museum - Vienna, Austria
