On Monday 12 May 2025, at 20:00, Anna Stereopoulou is inviting us to the Athens Premiere of her award-winning audiovisual artwork, titled PLANO, to take place in DIANA Cinema (Maroussi) and in the presence of the artist and collaborators. A Q&A will follow, regarding the artwork, as well as the importance of Sound in the Cinema, the Arts and every-day life.

PLANO is part of SYN ~ Cymatic Environment© project, and it lies at the crossing between cinema art and art-education-wellness, serving as a model for an artistic form of hypnosis. It was designed especially for presentations -and as an Experience- in the physical space of a Cinema Theatre, with the Goal of Highlighting and the Deep & Active Listening of Sound, in Films, and the Amplification of Listenings & Sound Installations. The work had its World Premiere at the 5th NEZ International Film Festival, in Kolkata, India (Best Music Video Award), and its Greek Premiere at the 60th Thessaloniki International Film Festival (>>FilmForward), before its Nomination for the Classical:NEXT Innovation Award 2020.

SYNOPSIS
Set in an undefined time and location, PLANO functions in a non-conventional mode of filmmaking, where Sound and Image run with reverse roles, challenging the Spectator to choose and focus on one or more of the various Stories of its complex Scenario as multiply layered through Sound.
