An exhibition of political art, registering the advent of Donald Trump’s second term as an attempted authoritarian take-over of the country. The show adopts an historical lens on our current crisis by foregrounding the longstanding authoritarian tendency in American politics. It ties this tendency to the authoritarianism of white supremacy integral to our country’s history. And it highlights the included artists’ practices as diverse, on-going forms of political protest, leveled against the ever-present threat of authoritarianism – now taking hold of our society.
