Bloomsday Film Festival: Arran Tenzin Bradstock's 'Film Album no.2'

Bloomsday Film Festival 2025 will feature Film Album no.2, a 7-part experimental film project by Irish filmmaker Arran Tenzin Bradstock.

Film Album no.2 will screen as part of the festival’s ‘Experimental Shorts’ programme on Saturday, 14th June at 3pm in Belvedere House, Dublin 1. For the full programme and to book tickets, visit this link. This experimental film project is as a follow up to Film Album no.1 (2020), taking the the idea of an album of music and swapping music tracks for short films. It is made up of seven independently-made pieces which can be watched as separate films or presented together as one sequence in a randomised order.

Film Album no.2 (2024, 20 minutes): ‘An immersive and hypnotic audiovisual odyssey through an abstract world lying outside the reach of unmediated perception, made from seven independently made pieces presented together in a chance-based order.’

Arran Tenzin Bradstock is a filmmaker and musician from Cork, Ireland. In 2025, he obtained a PhD in Original Composition from UCC for his practice-based research developing his experimental filmmaking practice. He has had work screened at other festivals such as Fastnet Film Festival, Kerry Film Festival, and Luminous Void Experimental Film Festival. Most recently, he was the 'Artist in Focus' at Cinesalon Experimental Film Festival 2024, where a special programme of 7 of his works was shown along with a discussion between Arran and festival organisers Maximilian Le Cain and Benjamin Burns. This is the 4th time Arran's work has been presented at Bloomsday.
