Ana Buljan is an artist and filmmaker who works with still and moving images.
Member of the KINOPRAVDA collective, where she works independently as Art Director. She holds a degree in Alternative Film (EICTV, Cuba), Fine Arts and Design from the Piet Zwart Institute in Rotterdam and in Italian Language and Literature from the University of Zagreb.
Her moving image work has been exhibited at the Eye Museum in Amsterdam, the Tent in Rotterdam, the Microscope Gallery in New York and several film festivals. She received a special mention for her experimental short film Aleph Zeta (XVII): the Star (2020) in the annual film review Days of Croatian Film in 2020. She was nominated for an Emmy for Best Production Design for a Contemporary Narrative Programme (one hour or more) for the TV series Succession (2020). She is a member of the European Film Academy as a production designer, and currently resides in Cuba.
