Ute Aurand is a Berlin-based experimental filmmaker, curator, and film educator. She studied at the German Film and Television Academy Berlin (dffb) and emerged as part of a new generation of women shaping experimental cinema in 1980’s Berlin and West Germany. Working primarily with 16mm film, Aurand has developed a distinctive cinematic language grounded in rhythm, kaleidoscopic cuts, and recurring motifs. Her films explore everyday moments with remarkable visual textures. Since the 1990s, diary filmmaking has been at the heart of Aurand’s practice.

Reeves is an internationally acclaimed filmmaker and visual artist whose work has been featured in major film festivals and art museums. Her film projects focus on the themes ranging from feminism to natural world to the abstract beauty of hand-altered film.
