    On the 50th anniversary of Pier Paolo Pasolini's death, artist-filmmakers Cathy Lee Crane and John Di Stefano present a meditation on Pasolini with a series of video-based works presented at NYU’s Casa Italiana.

    'Pasolini: Durations' proposes a poetic and experiential approach to Pasolini’s radical social critique and aims to recontextualize his work within the contemporary moment.

    This compact screening programme, clocking just over 38 minutes, brings together four short films around the question of how one witnesses and documents both historical events and contemporary dissent. How do these four audiovisual artists reconstruct their realities amid blurred memories, mechanisms of invisibility and internalised censorship? Are the facts after the facts still the facts?

    Some of the artists will be present to share their thoughts and join the conversation.

  • Altogether Without

    Altogether Without opens at SET Lewisham on 16 October 6-9PM. Save the date!

    Featuring photographic works, projected video works and light installations in a darkened exhibition space, the show stages an encounter with the (in)discernable gap between the still and the moving image. Through a play between darkness and light, the show seeks to shift and trouble perceptions of duration and the ephemeral.

  • Xcèntric - Crater-Lab / Spectral: un programa de cine expandido

    Concebida en colaboración con Crater-Lab, esta sesión presenta tres obras recientes de miembros del colectivo, junto a otra de la mexicana Elena Pardo, una de las artistas que participaron en SCREEN, el programa de residencias internacionales del proyecto Spectral. Cuatro performances con múltiples proyectores de 16 mm, diapositivas y otros artefactos de creación de imágenes y efectos artesanales que dan muestra del tipo de trabajos que viene desarrollando este colectivo independiente en nuestra ciudad.
