Pietro Gardoni — 8 Pezzi di Videoarte
Eight video works exploring nature, sound and experimental cinema

On October 30, Italian video artist Pietro Gardoni will present 8 PEZZI di videoarte, a special screening of eight works at Cinema Nuovo Eden in Brescia, an arthouse cinema managed by
Fondazione Brescia Musei, one of the city's major cultural institutions. The 65-minute projection will take place in the cinema's 217-seat main auditorium, bringing experimental moving-image works into the collective experience of the big screen.

As we welcome summer’s end and enter the darker half of the year, we invite you to bask in the flicker from these 6 short analogue folk films. While some are more overtly folk-coded than others, veering into the territory of folk horror, all embrace the alchemy and tangibility of celluloid film processing. They are independently-produced, often processed by hand, and shot on the amateur formats of Super 8, 16mm and DVCAM. They are not products to be consumed, but deeply personal works to be collectively enjoyed and engaged with.
