John Kline Jnr, a mute film projectionist plagued by episodes of missing time, hires local actors to portray his parents in recreated home movies as he investigates their mysterious disappearance 25 years ago.
The international competition will feature 25 films focusing on humanity and its conceptual and literal fragility, turbulent existential crises, and cracks in time, space and ourselves; the festival opens with an exhibition by Italian visual artist Rosa Barba.
21st 25 FPS Festival will take place from September 23 to 27, 2025 at Kinoteka cinema in Zagreb, with a grand opening at the Museum of Contemporary Art. After Zagreb, the festival continues at Art-kino cinema in Rijeka (September 30, October 1 and 3), and at Multimedia Cultural Centre Split (October 30).

The Film Gallery is pleased to present Lynn Marie Kirby: Produits de France, the first solo show in France of the San Francisco-based artist and filmmaker.
The first Budva Video Art Festival's theme is contemporary nomadism and a glimpse into a new reality. Films chosen for selection have in common a certain sense of wandering, artistic pilgrimage. Works showcased at the first edition are in search of a certain cinematic language and common ground in times of crises. An attempt to observe and describe the rapidly changing context we are placed in as artists and spectators.

Curated by Matt Feldman and Syd Farrington, In Our Sleep brings together the work of 8 artists for a screening of films presented on 16mm. The films offer a unique approach to 16mm filmmaking in their consideration of landscape, domestic space and media as a means of addressing notions of ‘Place’. Through reflections on light, magic, death and dreams, each film considers the importance of what remains unseen and beyond the surface of image.
As a member of the artist run film lab filmkoop wien, Stefanie Weberhofer is one of the driving forces behind the promotion of analog film culture in Austria. For more than a decade, she has been captivating audiences with her inventive, material-driven, and experimental works. This special showcase presents 17 of her films across two programs.

Multidisciplinary artist TJ Norris and Carpe Sonum Records announce the Irish premiere film screening of Elemental Studies, an ambitious audiovisual project exploring climate and nature. This three-year collaboration of experimental film and sound will screen at Gallery X on Saturday, September 6th.
