    The Paris Films Coop, a cooperative of independent experimental filmmakers founded in France in 1974 to disseminate their films widely, went on to become Cinédoc, via the University of Vincennes, the magazine Melba and ciné-MBXA.

    Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival, the UK’s festival of experimental film and artists’ moving image, has released details of its 14th edition which will run from 2 – 5 May 2024. Based in Hawick in the Scottish Borders, only 90 minutes from the Scottish capital, Alchemy is the biggest film festival of its kind in the UK, uniquely blurring the boundary between cinema and visual arts.

  • 2024 Wide Open Experimental Film Festival

    The third annual Wide Open Experimental Film Festival, presented by the Oklahoma City University Film Department in partnership with Oklahoma City Museum of Art, will take place April 26 - 28. Five programs will showcase 58 short films from around the world, including works by Tomonari Nishikawa, Lori Felker, Mark Street, Gregg Biermann, Sasha Waters, and more.

  • Images Festival Presents the 37th Edition: Rehearsing Refusal

    Images Festival is honored to present the 37th annual festival Rehearsing Refusal taking place from April 11-16, 2024 in Toronto, Canada. Rehearsing Refusal presents moving images from around the world that emphasize resistance and the subversion of oppressive systems through experimental film.
