    Martin Heath, John Porter and Rennie Taylor present a "SUPER 8 OPEN SCREENING" at Martin Heath's CineCycle on Sunday, July 27, 7pm. Free admission!

    It's in memory of Ross McLaren (1953-2023) who organized a few super 8 open screenings in 1975-77, the first of many regular open film screenings held in Toronto over 50 years, one of only a few cities in the world with such a history.

    The Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) in New York will host a special screening of Ragtag (2022) and the New York premiere of Desire (2025), two recent films by Italian filmmaker Giuseppe Boccassini. The event is part of MoMI’s ongoing Special Screenings series and will take place on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at 5:00 PM in the Bartos Screening Room.

    Spectacle is proud to bring its own variation on the second-ever complete Will Hindle retrospective, functioning as both the first in New York City and the first opportunity to watch all 11 of his films in chronological order. This retrospective encompasses nearly 30 years of filmmaking, with all his films shown on 16mm prints and several being presented via the sole distributable prints in good condition.
