Pebbles Underground Film and Video Art is happy to present the selection of films in the Winter 2025 edition! Available to watch on https://pebblesunderground.art/winter-screenings-2025/ for a limited time only, December 14 to 22. Watch the films, and support your favorite artists by voting for their works! Audience poll is available for each program.
The 12 programs feature experimental, surrealist, and underground cinema, documentaries of all types, essay films, screendance, video art, and animation. The programs resists fixed categories, moving fluidly between abstraction, documentary, and hybrid forms.
This formal openness makes space for political urgency. Films from Palestine, Iran, Greece, South Korea, Lesotho, Uruguay, Armenia, Japan, the UK, the Americas, Australia, and across Europe engage questions of power, displacement, memory, and resistance through art itself.
Placing experimental moving-image practices alongside documentary works challenges habitual perceptions of cinema, asking viewers to reconsider form as a political choice and perception as an active process.
This edition invites attention rather than consumption, proposing cinema as a space where aesthetics and politics can co-exist without propaganda.
