With Underground – American Avant-Garde Film in the 1960s, Eye highlights the cinematic innovation of a generation of American filmmakers in the 1960s and adds a new chapter to the museum's long tradition of giving experimental film a prominent place, both in its collection and programming.

In early 2024, Space Cell invited Richard Touhy & Dianna Barrie (Nanolab, Australia) to do the first Kineko workshop. Due to the increase in the price of film and the disappearance of professional laboratories, Korean filmmakers are having difficulty carrying out their projects on film. In particular, the printing of the final 16mm projection copy, after filming, editing and sound processing, has become a very difficult phase in terms of time and financing. To solve these problems, we plan to develop tools to make a less expensive original copy.

Directors Lounge Screening presents a collaborative project of twenty independent, experimental filmmakers: The Space Between Cities. Presented by Berlin Filmmaker Insa Langhorst.

Last year, Salise Hughes founder of EXcinema, Seattle, commissioned an exceptional project to bring together filmmakers, resulting in twenty films by international experimental filmmakers spread across four continents which were then combined as one feature length road film. The Spaces Between Cities is a collaboration made in the form of an exquisite corpse. Each film connects randomly to the next by way of a series of prompts creating a continuous road trip, or journey that will connect these different parts of the world.

Free Radicals: A history of experimental film
RE:VOIR is proud to announce the release of the new DVD "FREE RADICALS - A HISTORY OF EXPERIMENTAL FILM" by Pip Chodorov. The DVD features 8 bonus short films by key filmmakers who appear in the documentary and it is subtitled in 8 languages (FRANÇAIS, ESPAÑOL, SRPSKI, ČESKÉ, LIETUVIŲ, 中文, 日本語, 한국어). It also includes a 56-page booklet with texts by Jonas Mekas, Scott Hammen, Raphaël Bassan and Nathaniel Draper.

"Free Radicals" has been screened in 50 international festivals and distributed theatrically in France, USA and Canada.
