En la pantalla el cuerpo danza, el cuerpo goza, desafía a veces los cánones de representación y nos invita a reflexionar sobre cuestiones de identidad y género. Esta edición del Aula Xcèntric propone un acercamiento a la historia del cine experimental a través de la fascinación de los y las cineastas de vanguardia por la figuración del cuerpo y por las posibilidades que ofrece la materia fílmica y el cine digital para representarlo.

A selection of four films by four filmmakers made across time and different generations of women filmmakers placed in dialogue with each other.
Circles, founded in 1979, was the first feminist film and video distribution organisation in the UK that emerged out of a heightened moment in the 1970s narrative of London’s feminist film history, politics and collective activism in which the Women’s Liberation Movement played an influential part. Cirlces provided an essential role in the promotion and distribution of exclusively women filmmakers, supporting filmmaking that varied from political and social documentary to more experimental practice.
