Carrier Base contemplates the material surface of moving images and the relation between the container and the contained. The nine short experimental films within this program establish a dialogue between two ways of looking: On one side are materially altered works in which the film stock itself has transformed through time and exposure. On the other are works that carry us, whether slowly or rapidly, through interior and exterior spaces that refuse to easily give themselves over to the viewers perception.
