    Media City Film Festival's CHRYSALIS SHOWCASE will feature more than 80+ local, Canadian and international films across three days of screenings and parties (Feb. 14, 15, 16, 2020).

    Events will highlight MCFF's 2019-2020 CHRYSALIS FELLOWS in solo screenings all weekend long at MacKenzie Hall Cultural Centre, with social gatherings in Common Ground Art Gallery throughout.

    Colectivo Los Ingrávidos is a collective of filmmakers and activists mainly based in and around Mexico City. Their work is characterized by both radical form work and a direct response to the political turbulence, the violence and the corruption that is a highly tangible reality in Mexican society. Mass disappearances, political and military corruption and feminine cleansing - femicide - are some subjects that the collective stays with.

Highlighting punk, no budget, eco/feminist, lgbtq+, post-structuralist, hand-painted, hand-processed, etched and scratched films, agit-prop, personal films; détournements, and 3D animation; from Dadaism to one-of–a-kind dreamy Surrealist cine-poems.
