Gravitational Lensing: Feminist Film Dialogues is a film series dedicated to exploring the visions, voices, concerns and lineage of women, non-binary, genderqueer and trans filmmakers through public film screenings, workshops, conversations and presentations.

Using both poetic and critical lenses, the films in this program examine the different ways we use symbolism, ritual and mythology as tools for engaging with the unknown in the attempt to understand the mysteries that surround us.

Messages can be obscure, and this might be the result of place: Los Angeles. Seemingly, there is no rhyme or reason ... or is there? One must look past the surface. This program represents an array of perspectives from Los Angeles area seers. Employing various formal approaches, these films attempt to see beyond face value. At once, these visions are unified by the spirit of experimentation and independent expression that characterizes the alternative cinema in Los Angeles.

El 3 de marzo a partir de las 20h. presentaremos el Fanzine Espacios de Libertad, que hemos editado desde Playtime Audiovisuales, y que recoge una serie de textos e imágenes de la cineasta Laida Lertxundi. Para la presentación contaremos con la presencia de Laida, quién además compartirá con todos los presentes una sesión de las que ella denomina Landscape Plus, en la que podremos ver varias obras suyas, junto con otras de diferentes cineastas, seleccionados por ella, como Michael Robinson o Alee Peoples.

La presentación será en Espacio Labruc - C/ La palma, 18 [M] Tribunal - Madrid con entrada gratuita.
